Modularity in Interaction Protocols

چکیده
ABSTRACT Proto ols or part of proto ols are frequently reused through proje ts if they are suÆ iently generi . For instan e, the Contra t Net proto ol an be used verbatim or in other proto ols su h as the supply hain management. This reusability might be diÆ ult to do due to the la k of reusability in urrent intera tion proto ol formalisms. In this paper, we present a new approa h based on a modular ar hite ture. A proto ol is no longer monolithi but a omposition of modules alled mi ro-proto ols. This approa h improves modularity and reusability in intera tion proto ol engineering. We apply this idea to the supply hain management.

Mining Overlapping Communities in Real-world Networks Based on Extended Modularity Gain
Detecting communities plays a vital role in studying group level patterns of a social network and it can be helpful in developing several recommendation systems such as movie recommendation, book recommendation, friend recommendation and so on. Most of the community detection algorithms can detect disjoint communities only, but in the real time scenario, a node can be a member of more than one ...
متن کاملThe Generic Consensus Service
ÐThis paper describes a modular approach for the construction of fault-tolerant agreement protocols. The approach is based on a generic consensus service. Fault-tolerant agreement protocols are built using a client-server interaction, where the clients are the processes that must solve the agreement problem and the servers implement the consensus service. This service is accessed through a gene...
متن کاملModularity in the design and application of therapeutic interventions
This paper introduces the concept of modularity as an approach to therapeutic protocol design and application. Modularity is defined in terms of four key properties, and a detailed example of a modular psychotherapy protocol is presented. By explicitly outlining clinical strategies and algorithms, modular design of psychotherapy protocols provides a promising framework for testing many of the a...
متن کاملCommitment-based Agent Interaction in JaCaMo+
We present the JaCaMo+ framework for programming multiagent systems (MAS), where agents interact thanks to commitment-based interaction protocols. Commitment protocols are realized as artifacts that maintain a social state and notify to the participating agents those events that are relevant to the interaction. We discuss the advantages, like increased modularity and flexibility, that are broug...
متن کاملThe Effectiveness of Unified Trans Diagnostic Treatment Protocols on Parent-Child Interaction and Blood Sugar Levels in Adolescents with Type 1 Diabetes
Objective: The parent-child relationship and the daily blood sugar control by adolescents can affect family functioning. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of unified trans-diagnostic treatment protocols on parent-child interaction and blood sugar levels in adolescents with type 1 diabetes. Materials and Methods: The present study was quasi-experimental with a pretest and posttest ...
متن کاملConsensus Service: A Modular Approach for Building Agreement Protocols in Distributed Systems
This paper describes a consensus service and suggests its use for the construction of fault-tolerant agreement protocols. We show how to build agreement protocols, using a classical client-server interaction, where (1) the clients are the processes that must solve the agreement problem, and (2) the servers implement the consensus service. Using a generic notion, called consensus lter, we illust...
